Ladies, the best way to have the perfect wedding, is to stop expecting it to be perfect! I know, I know, I am crazy! Let me tell you this, no matter how many hours you spending on the most intricate details, it will never go as planned.  I have a list of things that I have done to help me get through the process as happy and painless as possible!

Lower your standards

You have already done the hard part, finding the perfect man! Why kill yourself trying to make one day huge and ridiculous? Do what works for your budget and most importantly as a couple. I know the feeling of finding an amazing reception spot, and they demand our first born child. In the end, I found exactly what I wanted for less than a pretty penny! 

OURS

Get used to it. It's not "my" day it's "OUR" day. I won't make a single wedding plan unless I show my Graham first. Sure, Graham may not know the difference between plumb and eggplant, but I always try to include him. I will be including him in choices for the rest of my life. Sure, wedding planning may not be his forte, but his opinion matters too! One thing I do know, is that men love FOOD and sweet deal! Keep that in mind...

Don't let it consume your life

The first thing people said to me was, "Crissy, planing a wedding is hell!" I have enjoyed every minute of planning mine! Why, because I don't make it my second job or chore! I work around my budget and hiccups and move forward. I find unique ways to accomplish what I want, without breaking the bank and loosing my mind! 

The "So and So" complex

Yes, so and so did have that at their wedding! They sure did, along with 134,972,017,578,628,734 other couples. The only unique thing about a wedding, is the couple. That's right, I did just burst your bubble. You will never, ever, EVER have a genuine "unique" wedding! So, stop killing yourself over it! 

Remember what is important

There is a difference between a wedding and a marriage! What is important is the Marriage! Whether you are getting sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, or having a small ceremony in a tiny chapel. The most important part is the binding of two souls. So as long as your marriage lasts longer than 72 days, you are in good shape! (;
